TWITTER SUCKS SAYS GEVAIS

Ricky Gervais

Ricky Gervais will be hosting the Golden Globes this Sunday and producers asked him to sign onto Twitter so he could tweet as he hosted. But only a few days in and Gervais has dumped Twitter like a cheap whore.
In a post on his personal blog, Gervais writes, "As you may know I've stopped with Twitter. I just don't get it I'm afraid. I'm sure it's fun as a networking device for teenagers but there's something a bit undignified about adults using it. Particularly celebrities who seem to be showing off by talking to each other in public. If I want to tell a friend, famous or otherwise what I had to eat this morning, I'll text them. And since I don't need to make new virtual friends, it seemed a bit pointless to be honest."

I totally agree, why celebrities Twitter is beyond me. They always complain of no privacy but then tell us all the details of their very boring lives at Twitter. If you're pushing a film or CD thats cool, but do I really need to know Katy Perry has her period right now?
