SIDIBE "TO FAT" FOR VOGUE
March 27th 2010 20:59
Anna Wintour editor in chief of Vogue magazine is a fashion expert and rules her magazine with an iron fist. She has high expectations of the fashion industry and does not want actress Gabourey Sidibe in her magazine.
Popeater reports “Even with all of the fame and Oscar buzz ‘Precious’ got this past year, that’s still not enough to land star Gabourey Sidibe on the pages of Vogue magazine. According to my sources, Miss Sidibe’s weight is what’s keeping her out of Anna Wintour’s publication, where being rail-thin is a necessity. Sources tell me that the editors of Vogue magazine rejected the idea of letting Oscar nominee Gabby Sidibe grace its fashionable pages because of her size. ‘She’s a joke in the fashion community. What she wore on the red carpet at the Academy Awards wasn’t a dress, it was a tent,’ one nasty little fashion queen writes.
Is anyone surprised at this? Overweight actresses do not succeed in Hollywood. I can think of two Queen Latifah and MoNique. Its just not realistic because they do not write roles for overweight actresses. And in truth society is so shallow, most ppl want their Vogue models to be thin.
Myself? I say live and let live, and start being real and casting overweight actresses and put them on the cover of fashion mags, because the majority of the world's population is obese. Use real women.
