RIP TORN ROBS A BANK

Rip Torn mugshot

In one of the weirdest stories I've heard in years actor Rip Torn has tried to rob a bank near his home. When the cops showed up they said Torn who is 78 was "with a loaded revolver, and was highly intoxicated." What would inspire an accomplished actor like Torn to try to rob a bank even if he was completely loaded? Then again this is a guy who changed his name from Elmore Torn to Rip Torn. There's a strong indication we have a problem.
