Daniel Radcliffe is shutting down rumours he is gay.
Radcliffe tells MTV.com, "I'm not gay. If people want to say that, they can. I'm not. I'm straight.
"My favourite thing I saw was a guy on the internet who said, 'Of course he's gay - he's got a gay face', which I thought was kind of an odd thing to say anyway.
Why do ppl even care? Its not your business if Dan or anyone is gay, try to spend more time worrying about your own crappy lives than sticking your nose into everyone else's. No one asked for your opinion and no one cares what you think.
Daniel has also made a PSA for The Trevor Project, an organization that focuses on suicide prevention among gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered youth.
"I have always hated anybody who is not tolerant of [the gay community]. Now I am in the very fortunate position where I can actually help. I grew up knowing a lot of gay men and it was never something that I never even thought twice about – that some men were gay and some weren't. And then I went to school and (for) the first time ... I came across homophobia. ... I had never encountered it before. It shocked me", the actor said.
I agree, homophobia is so vulgar and deeply distressing when you see the suicide statistics amongst gays, lesbians and trans gender ppl. Its a sad state of affairs when ppl cannot walk in their truth and just be happy because they fear the backlash of hatred from ppl who clearly lack compassion and any kind of understanding. This really does bring shame upon all of us.
