PORTIA GIVES HER VIEW ON GAY MARRIAGE
December 4th 2009 21:36
Portia DeRossi, actress and wife of Ellen DeGeneres appeared on 'The View' on Friday and basically put Elisabeth Hasselbeck in her place when she confronted Portia on gay marriage. Elisabeth who is a hard core Catholic and gets all of her information from google asked Portia "Take men and women. Women want all the rights of men, but they're not asking to be called men," Elisabeth said. "Do you think...is the word [marriage] more important than the rights?"
"Every citizen of this country should have that legal right to be married," she said. "Marriage the word actually does mean something because people who see a gay coupling as a lesser thing in society can continue to [think] it's lesser than marriage when really it's the exact same thing. The exact same love, the exact same commitment, love of family."
I cannot stand Elisabeth Hasselbeck actually it borders on hatred for me, something I never do. But the woman is a bigot, a shallow minded nitwit who has gotten everything in her life on a platter without ever knowing real hardship, the bleach has seeped into her brain. She needs to be removed from The View and be replaced with a kind loving person who has never read he bible, and doesn't use it as a measuring stick.
