Roman Polanski
Roman Polanski has won for Best Director at the Berlin Film Festival for his movie The Ghost Writer. Polanski 76, who is under house arrest in Switzerland sent an acceptance statement via his producers, saying: "Even if I could be there I wouldn't, because the last time I went to a festival to get a prize, I ended up in jail."
Polanski has been on the run since he jumped US bail in 1978 after admitting he had sex with a minor. Three decades later he finally got busted and the US authorities are arranging his return to the United States to face conviction. Every dog has it's day and Polanski your number is up.
