Oprah and her mother Vernita
Oprah Winfrey has spent the last 25 years on TV changing the world. She has taken the stigma off many topics, talked to amazing ppl, opened our eyes, changed the world and now she runs a girls school in Africa. It would be appropriate to say she is a kind, loving, humanitarian. All except when it comes to her mother Vernita.
Vernita has to call Oprah's personal assistant. “The assistant tells Oprah what her mother wants and then the assistant calls Vernita back and tells her what Oprah said,” the source told RadarOnline.com, but added that Oprah does talk to her mother directly at times.
“She buys $500 hats, and she has a very good life financially, but she can’t reach Oprah,” Kelley said of Vernita. “Oprah will not give her mother her telephone number.”
It may be just possible that Oprah's mum is not a nice person, maybe shes a nag or one of those mothers that no matter what you do its never good enough and then shes on your case. Oprah is very close to her dad and rarely mentions her mum, at least she still pays for her, shes doesn't have to do that.
