MARILYN'S TREASURE ADORED BY MARIAH

Marilyn Monroe and her piano

Mariah Carey has purchased a piano once owned by screen siren Marilyn Monore. Carey purchased the piano at a Christies auction for $662,500 because she identifies with Monroe.
Mariah said "I could have gotten the 'Happy Birthday, Mr. President' dress or whatever, but that would have represented Marilyn Monroe's stardom. The piano belonged to her mother and was a piece of her childhood."

I happen to know through my years of reading about Monroe that she did indeed treasure this piano because it was her mother's, although she could only play chopsticks. Marilyn I think would be happy to see Mariah as the new owner.
