Marie Osmond was in disbelief when told her 18 year old adopted son Michael had committed suicide on Friday night.
A friend of Marie's told People "When she heard about the tragedy, she was a mess. She was in disbelief."
An autopsy has been performed on Michael and it is inconclusive, meaning we await toxicology reports for drugs. Michael texted a friend moments before he died and said he had left a suicide note. Michael suffered from severe depression and just like Andrew Koenig took his own life.
I have said before, that I too am Bipolar and suffer depression and I really want to stress to anyone who is feeling depressed or suicidal to please contact your doctor. The right medication and regular treatment with a psychiatrist is a very successful way of treating this illness, and committing suicide is not the answer.
Please call a crisis line or go to the emergency room if you are feeling this way. I know you cannot see it cos the depression is talking but science is a wonderful thing and there are so many treatments for mental illness now, that have amazing results. I am living proof.
