HAITI DONATIONS COUNTED

The Hope For Haiti telethon has raised $57 million from phone, email and text donations. Interestingly the telethon was watched by an estimated 640 million people and most pledges were made by Americans. Last year in Australia, country Victoria was wiped out by bush fires and the ppl of Australia managed to pledge $156 million. Over 300 million ppl live in America and only 21 million in Australia. I'm not saying Aussies are more generous ppl but either George's telethon did not inspire or the yanks just wanted a free concert. Hope For Haiti will be taking more donations for the next six months but if Beyonce and Madonna cannot inspire a nation then who can?
