Golden Girls cast

Estelle Getty the actress who played Sophia Patrillo on The Golden Girls was laid to rest last week after passing away from dementia. Many gathered to bid their farewells to the comic genius with notable absentees. Estelle's castmates Bea Arthur, Betty White and Rue McClanahan failed to make an appearance. Two were reportedly in New York the other had previous commitments. Betty White managed to send flowers, while Bea Arthur who played Estelle's daughter in the show said she has been grieving for years over Estelle and just could'nt face it. Some friends these girls turned out to be, in the show the character's would have died for each other, they were definitely acting. Estelle's son said that none of her castmates had visited her in years. That's what friends are for! Estelle may be rolling in her grave before she is even buried.
