Dalai Lama and Ricahrd Gere

Richard Gere a practising buddhist was blessed by his friend the Dalia Lama on Friday in Bodh Gaya, India. Gere was there for a five day teaching, speaking at a campaign to turn a Buddhist town in into a vegetarian zone to spread "a message of peace".

I don't know if you've ever seen Gere interviewed, very nice man, very serious man. He doesn't go to comedy route if you know what I mean? And I wonder if the Dalai Lama blessed him enough to finally win an Academy Award or if there were enough blessings for Gere to deal with the fact that his middle name is Tiffany?
