FORGETTING HUGH GRANT

Russell Brand as Aldous Snow

Jason Segel writer and star of Forgetting Sarah Marshall says he had Hugh Grant in mind when writing the character Aldous Snow which eventually went to Russell Brand.

Segel tells 944 magazine, "The part was originally written to be a British author, like a Hugh Grant type. Russell walked in to audition, and was so charismatic and good. It was a different choice, but made perfect sense. He captured that guy you totally hate and is dating your ex-girlfriend.
He was perfect. He's a consummate gentleman and a pleasure to act with... Russell's going to be a huge star." Going to be? I thought he was a star and by the way Jason, Russell is an author.
But the last thought I will leave you with is this......Look at this picture of Russell as Aldous sprawled sexually on a surfboard in speedos. Can you see Hugh Grant in this pose?
