ETHERIDGE SPLITS FROM WIFE

Melissa and Tammy Etheridge

In some very sad news Melissa Etheridge has split from partner Tammy after nine years together.
The couple exchanged vows in 2003 and today their rep told People "Melissa and Tammy Etheridge are saddened to announce that they are now separated."

"We ask for consideration and respect for our family as we go through this difficult period."
Tammy gave birth to their son Miller and daughter Johnnie in 2006, and she stood by Melissa who waged an almighty battle against cancer and won.
This is very upsetting, Melissa and Tammy were really in love and I must say if 2009 was the year for celebrity deaths, 2010 is the year they split.
