Brittany Murphy's husband Simon Monjack and mother Sharon have talked to Larry King about Brittany's death on December 20th. “You want to know what broke Brittany Murphy’s heart? Hollywood broke Brittany Murphy’s heart,” Monjack told King.
“You wake up in the morning and it’s like a rebirth. It’s… there’s not enough time to… your dreams, be they good or bad, when you wake up and I reach out to touch or hold my wife and she isn’t there,” Monjack continued.
Simon and Sharon also spoke about finding Brittany unresponsive in her bathroom and the arrival of paramedics. “Were you there when they said she didn’t make it?” King asked.
“Three people came in. Sharon and I were holding each other. And they let us know at the same time that they, that she hadn’t made it,” Monjack revealed.
“But we knew before that,” her mother said. “It was just — you know, you felt her life go out of her.”
Simon and Sharon say their world is destroyed and I feel for them. They were lucky enough to dance around the cusp of a young woman who was beautiful and talented and so very kind. Brittany was the light in their world and now the lights have gone out. I guess the rest of their lives will be spent reminiscing over a movie star, wife and daughter they will forever love.
