UPDATE: Kirk Cameron, Andrew Koenigs friend and cast mate on Growing Pains has released a statement on Andrew's death.
“It is with great sorrow to hear about the final outcome of the search for my old friend Andrew.”
“I hope everyone will be sensitive to the Koenigs and give the family some private time to reflect and to grieve the loss of their beloved son. At a time like this, we all are reminded of the briefness of life and the importance of being ready for our eternal destination. My prayers will continue to be with Andrew’s family.”
Is some very sad news Vancouver police have reportedly found the body of Andrew Koenig. Andrew was last seen on February 14th near Vancouver's Stanley Park and the body of the 41 year old was found on Thursday in the park.
Andrew's father Walter said in a press conference "My son took his own life. He was obviously in a lot of pain."
Andrew Koenig suffered from depression, I too suffer from Bipolar disorder and depression. If you are feeling depressed please contact your doctor or crisis line, even reach out to a friend or family member. It is so sad when anyone who suffers from depression feels they cannot be helped or they're all alone, because there is treatment for this illness and there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Andrews parents have truly done everything they can in the past week to help locate their son and are absolutely devastated.
