Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin
Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin did a top notch job hosting the Oscars this year, it was the best Oscar show Ive ever seen. They came out after Neil Patrick Harris opened the show with a song and dance, then the two pros preceded to send up almost every star in the audience.
Ben Stiller presented the award for Best Makeup, looking like a creature from Avatar. He had a huge blue tail that was being operated by a guy backstage holding a fishing rod. He was quite funny, but may have gone a little to far for the joke.
All in all the show moved quickly but when the montage of those who had passed away in the past year was shown, both Bea Arthur and Farrah Fawcett were overlooked. The Academy says they cannot fit every star who passed away in, but really leaving out these two was a huge oversight not to mention insulting.
2010 set a new record in the history of Hollywood with our first female win for Best Director and her little film which made only 20 million beat her ex husbands film which made three times that. Notch another one up for the chicks.
